xWhile coming out of Brasil, Vitória has a presence in multiple pockets of the skateboarding world. As Element’s newest pro, she has earned her spot on the global skate stage, while remaining close to more niche communities and groups in skateboarding like Unity and Jenkem. With Vitória, we’re creating a shoe from a female POV that is genderless and true to skateboarding everywhere.Through this project, we will celebrate Vitória’s impact on skateboarding in Brasil and beyond, continue support for women in skateboarding, and strengthen the Superstar franchise’s connection to skateboarding.
The cracked leather upper takes inspiration from asphalt and other rough surfaces from skate spots, while the reflective stripes, tongue logo, and Vitória sign off on the quarter nod to the glare of city lights and streets signs while pushing around at night. The reflective detailing is also carried through on the mesh tongue, while a handwritten poem in Portuguese from Vitória is feature on the sockliner of the shoe.
